Whale head

As the artist behind "Whale Head," I created this painting with the intention of challenging the viewer's perceptions of reality and creating a sense of wonder and curiosity. The missing upper body of the girl adds an unexpected and surrealistic element to the painting, forcing the viewer to question what they are seeing and how it fits into their understanding of the world.

The inclusion of the whale-like creature in the background further reinforces the surrealistic tone of the painting, as it floats freely in the air with a sense of weightlessness that defies the laws of physics. Despite this fantastical element, the overall style of the painting retains a classic feel, with the realistic rendering of the girl's lower body and the flowers she is holding adding a sense of detail and texture that is reminiscent of traditional portrait paintings.

Overall, I wanted to create a sense of mystery and intrigue with "Whale Head," drawing the viewer in with the unexpected elements while maintaining a sense of beauty and familiarity with the classic style of the painting.
