I would like to share some thoughts on my painting, “Dancing Trees.” This piece is very dear to my heart, as it represents a moment of deep connection with the world around me. When I met my husband in a bar in Paris we danced that night in the pouring rain on the square in front of the bar, it was love at first sight, we did not care. Later I came back to this square also on a rainy day when I noticed the trees, gently swaying in the wind. Their movements seemed so graceful and in tune with the elements, as if they were performing our dance. I wanted to capture the essence of that moment, the feeling of serenity and love that washed over me as I stood there, captivated by the beauty of these seemingly ordinary trees.

The brown color palette I chose for this painting evokes the earthy tones of nature and the warmth that can be found even on the gloomiest of days. I wanted to capture the essence of that moment, the feeling of serenity that washed over me as I stood there, captivated by the beauty of these seemingly ordinary trees.

I also decided to include vague figures in the background to represent the busy people going about their lives, perhaps too preoccupied to notice the trees’ dance. My hope is that this painting can serve as a reminder.
