As generative models today produce increasingly sophisticated and precise outputs, I find myself more drawn to works that embrace a slightly distorted, 'imperfect' aesthetic rather than those striving for flawless accuracy. This Fencing project is one such result of that experimentation. When AI-generated images become 'too perfect,' I now often feel that the higher the level of completion, the more sterile and detached they can appear. In contrast, incorporating elements that are intentionally skewed or broken brings a sense of artistic liberation and makes the creative process itself more engaging. It's akin to deliberately introducing mistakes or utilizing flaws in traditional art to create intentional imbalances. From an artistic perspective, I sought to intentionally reflect this 'imperfect' aesthetic through the lens of AI.
