by Aopolis Voronin

A representation of an extraterrestrial being that has evolved beyond the need for eyes or any other sensory organs. It is a reflection of my fascination with the concept of post-biological life, and how alien beings might evolve to exist in completely different forms than we do. The black and white color scheme was chosen to emphasize the stark contrast between the alien’s features and the void where its eyes would normally be. This is intended to create a sense of unease or discomfort in the viewer, to convey the idea that encountering truly alien life forms would be a deeply unsettling experience. The aged appearance of the alien face is meant to suggest that this being has existed for a very long time, perhaps even predating the existence of humanity. It is a reminder that the universe is vast and ancient, and that we are just a tiny speck in the grand scheme of things. Overall, this artwork is intended to inspire contemplation and reflection on the mysteries of the universe, and our place within it.
